Your role here will extend beyond the treatment of communication and swallowing disorders; it will empower the voiceless, revive confidence, and foster interpersonal connections - from the excitement of children learning to speak to the resilience of seniors as they regain independence. This position offers a unique chance to work with a diverse array of clients throughout their lives within a dynamic clinic that combines outpatient therapy with occasional inpatient services. Whether your heart is set on supporting children's language development, addressing adult neurogenic speech issues, or aiding in the cognitive rehabilitation of seniors, you'll find satisfaction and ease in this flexible environment. Description Conduct thorough evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics using standardized testing and observational methods. Design individualized treatment strategies targeting short-term milestones as well as long-lasting communication, cognitive, or swallowing challenges. Deliver focused and engaging speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language enhancement, fluency, voice modulation, and swallowing difficulties. Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and family members to formulate seamless care approaches. Educate patients and their families to foster progress outside of clinical sessions. Participate in patient assessments and speech therapy for inpatient cases, ensuring all aspects of care remain consistent throughout the healing process. Maintain precise and timely documentation in accordance with state and federal regulations as well as organizational mandates. Keep up-to-date with innovations in the field via ongoing training and collaboration with peers. Education Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if certification by ASHA is pending. Certifications Valid state license as a Speech Language Pathologist. Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a requirement within the first 30 days of employment. Skills Expertise in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for various age groups, alongside a robust understanding of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing challenges. Exceptional interpersonal skills to connect with patients, families, and entire care teams. Capability to tailor therapeutic strategies to cater to diverse cultural backgrounds and linguistic needs. Acute clinical insight and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation practices. Benefits Attractive compensation that corresponds with experience. Flexible scheduling options to support work-life harmony and varied caseloads. Possibility to specialize in pediatric, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatric therapy. Paid time off (PTO) as well as holiday compensation. Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance choices. Support for continuing education, including reimbursement and professional development opportunities. A collaborative, team-oriented atmosphere committed to quality care and lifelong growth. A Journey That Resonates - Both for You and Those You Serve In this role, you'll do more than administer speech therapy; you'll become a part of an initiative dedicated to reestablishing voices, enhancing communication, and crafting joyful moments through genuine human interaction - the essence of understanding and being understood. Here, you will partner with professionals who treat each other like family, fostering an environment that values collaboration over competition. Every patient comes bearing a unique history, and you'll have the privilege of helping narrate their stories.
