Description The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (AWS ProServe) team is on the lookout for a talented Senior Cloud Security Consultant to join our innovative Cloud Security team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with customers to design, implement, and automate robust solutions in AWS aimed at safeguarding customer assets. Your expertise will empower customer security teams to operate more efficiently while ensuring they mitigate unnecessary risks. You will be engaged in dynamic, complex projects that drive transformative business and security outcomes for our clients worldwide. The ideal candidate is a highly adept technical security professional, equipped to coach and guide executive security and cloud leaders through their journeys, addressing critical topics such as security strategy and optimal cloud security operations. You'll also have the opportunity to dive deeply into AWS security technology. Your creativity will be harnessed as you invent, extend, and adjust technology to meet customer requirements while mentoring junior consultants to foster their success. The AWS Professional Services organization is a global collective of experts dedicated to helping customers achieve their desired business outcomes through the AWS Cloud. We collaborate with customer teams and the AWS Partner Network (APN) to execute extensive cloud computing projects. Key Responsibilities Serve as the technical leader for customer engagements, steering teams of consultants through security-related projects. Champion internal initiatives that yield measurable impacts. Build and nurture strategic relationships with both internal and external leaders. Design and implement intricate, scalable, and secure AWS solutions customized to meet customer needs. Engage and empower delivery partners throughout project execution. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in security, compliance, and risk management. 5+ years of integration, testing, and automation experience. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with security and compliance standards such as HIPAA and GDPR. Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences in pre-sales contexts. AWS experience is preferred, with proficiency in a broad range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation). AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) are preferred. Experience with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Terraform, Python). Professional background in industries such as financial services, automotive, telecommunications, healthcare, life sciences, energy, media, entertainment, or manufacturing. Hands-on technical expertise in building security capabilities in code, deploying infrastructure as code, and implementing enterprise security solutions (e.g., WAF, IPS, Anti-DDOS, SIEM).
