Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician

Psychiatrist Region 5 Location: Orient, OH 43146. Weekly Hours: 40 (Full-time; part-time hrs./week also considered) Shift: Core hours typically between 7:00 AM 5:00 PM, no nights, weekends, or holidays Duration: Minimum 6 months, potential for permanent hire Position Overview We are seeking a board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist with a valid Ohio medical license to provide on-site psychiatric services. The psychiatrist will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary staff to assess, treat, and manage behavioral health patients in accordance with recognized treatment standards and organizational protocols. The position involves direct patient care, diagnostic evaluation, and participation in quality improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Conduct psychiatric exams, write evaluations and reports, and manage patient care • Order and interpret diagnostic tests as appropriate • Manage medications and make referrals for specialized care or treatment • Document all patient interactions using an electronic health record system • Work collaboratively with intra- and interdepartmental staff • Perform duties within scope of practice, organizational policies, procedures, and relevant professional standards • Participate in continuous quality improvement activities, including peer reviews • Engage in collaborative agreements as needed Qualifications • Board-eligible or board-certified psychiatrist • Valid Ohio medical license • Master s or Doctoral degree in Medicine • Healthcare-professional level BLS/CPR certification • DEA certification as required
