Chief Estimator - Dry Utilities (Civil Construction) Location: Phoenix, Arizona Salary: $160,000 TO $180,000 - ($200,000 total comp (base + incentives + vehicle allowance) Type: Full-Time | Permanent Are you a seasoned Estimator ready to take the lead on high-impact infrastructure bids? We're hiring a Chief Estimator with a strong background in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), fiber optics, traffic signals, street lighting, and dry utilities. What You'll Be Doing Lead competitive bids across Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMAR, and JOC projects Interpret technical drawings, specs, and bid documentation Manage quantity takeoffs, material pricing, and subcontractor quotes Analyze logistics, risks, and scheduling impacts Prepare detailed and accurate estimates Oversee junior estimators and guide team development Collaborate cross-functionally with preconstruction, executive leadership, and field operations Represent the company in pre-bid meetings and bid presentations What You Bring 7+ years of experience in civil construction estimating 5+ years focused on dry utilities, ITS, fiber, traffic signal or lighting scopes At least 1 year in a senior or lead estimator position Expertise on projects valued at $1M+, public or private Strong command of HCSS HeavyBid, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Office Familiarity with Procore and Bluebeam a plus Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field (required) Prior experience working for a GC/contractor in civil infrastructure (not EPC/owner-side) Why Join This Company?
