Assistant MEP Engineer

Actively looking for a Mechanical Engineer to support HVAC and plumbing system designDescription Seeking a Assistant Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to support HVAC and plumbing system design. Assist in the design and layout of HVAC and plumbing systems for commercial and institutional buildings Perform basic engineering calculations, equipment sizing, and system selections under supervision Develop construction documents including plans, schedules, and details using AutoCAD and/or Revit Coordinate with senior engineers, architects, and other disciplines Support field surveys, site visits, and existing conditions documentation Assist with responses to RFIs, submittal reviews, and construction administration tasks Ensure designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field 1-3 years of experience in HVAC and plumbing design (internship or co-op experience considered) Working knowledge of HVAC systems (air handling units, VAV systems, boilers, chillers, etc.) Basic understanding of plumbing systems (domestic water, sanitary, storm, gas) Familiarity with AutoCAD and/or Revit Knowledge of NYS and applicable mechanical/plumbing codes preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oneida, NY.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
