Position Summary The CVOR Surgical Technologist supports cardiovascular surgical procedures by functioning as a scrub technologist and assisting the surgical team in delivering safe, effective patient care. This role requires specialized Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) experience and the ability to work independently within established protocols. The Surgical Technologist provides care across all age populations, including neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Schedule Full-Time Four 10-hour day shifts per week On-call rotation required Minimum Education & Experience High school diploma or equivalent Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (required for hires post-2009) Minimum of 1 year experience as a Surgical Technologist Required Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) specialty experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Performs scrub responsibilities for cardiovascular procedures across all patient age groups Functions independently within established clinical protocols Completes unit-specific tasks as assigned by the Registered Nurse Demonstrates sound judgment, professionalism, tact, and diplomacy Maintains strict patient confidentiality Proficient computer and keyboarding skills Required Certifications Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification National Certification from one of the following approved bodies: National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (CST) National Center for Competency Testing (TS-C) Association of Surgical Technologists For more details reach Call / Text at 516-587-6677.
