Position Type: Administration Date Posted: 1/29/2026 Location: Office of Finance & Operations Closing Date: Until FIlled Position Title: Director of Finance Location: District Office - Office of Finance and Operations Pay Scale/Salary Class/Days: Administrative Pay Scale / Salary Class 37 / 240 Days Requirements: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree in a related field is preferred. Five years of experience in financial management or governmental accounting including experience in an administrative or supervisory role. Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Governmental Finance Officer (CGFO) or South Carolina Association of School Board Officials (SCASBO) Certified School Business Officer(CSBO) designation is preferred. May require a valid state driver's license. Description: Under limited supervision, manages the financial affairs of the District, including daily accounting, payroll, accounts payable, budgeting and cash management functions; establishes and maintains internal accounting controls and ensures financial compliance with state and federal requirements; serves as information resource on financial matters to district administration, staff, and the public. Supervises and evaluates the work of subordinate staff and performs related professional and administrative work as required.
