Mainframe Developer (Assembler, CICS, Cobol)

Mainframe Developer Location: no location requirement, CST and EST preferred (Chicago would be nice) Key Areas of Responsibilities: Leading in the migration of TopSecret jobs to RACF Develop and define application scope and objectives and prepare technical and/or functional specifications from with programs will be written. Analyzing user requirements and translating them into technical specifications Testing and debugging applications to ensure they meet quality standards Promote improvements in lean software engineering practices such as test-driven development, continuous integration, and continuous delivery. Collaborating with team members to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions Providing support and maintenance for existing mainframe applications Key Desired Skills, Experience and Knowledge: 5 years or more experience with Assembler Command Level CICS and/or z/OS Good knowledge of RACF and Top Secret 5 years or more of Cobol, Batch Processing, JCL knowledge 5 years or more of experience with Cobol Command Level CICS Mainframe coding know-how with the ability to remedy code issues in a timely manner Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously #DICE
