Position: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Location: Tallahassee, FL Position Type: Full-Time Department: Respiratory Therapy Openings: 1 Compensation Pay Range: Minimum: $24.93/hour Midpoint: $30.54/hour (10 years of experience) Maximum: $33.59/hour (16+ years of experience) Shift Differential: Nights Only: $2.33/hour Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis Available Shifts Days (Rotating Weekends) Nights (Rotating Weekends) Facility Overview This position is with a 288-bed acute care hospital providing 24/7 emergency services to the surrounding community. The facility offers comprehensive services including behavioral health, oncology, heart and vascular care, imaging, NICU, orthopedics and spine services, rehabilitation, stroke care, surgical services, and weight loss programs. The hospital partners with affiliated physician practices to provide coordinated, patient-centered care. Job Summary The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) provides high-quality, patient-centered respiratory care in accordance with departmental standards and state scope of practice. As an integral member of the healthcare team, the RRT performs diagnostic testing, administers therapeutic interventions, and manages patients requiring invasive and noninvasive ventilatory support. Key Responsibilities Perform and document comprehensive respiratory assessments, including breath sounds, airway patency, and diagnostic testing to evaluate treatment response. Administer respiratory therapies such as oxygen delivery, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and airway clearance techniques. Initiate, monitor, and manage mechanical ventilation, including assisting with artificial airway placement. Monitor patients for therapeutic effectiveness and adverse responses, intervening and notifying providers as appropriate. Respond to emergency situations to maintain airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation efforts. Assist with transport of ventilator-dependent patients as needed. Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required NBRC certification required Active State RRT license required Associate Degree in Respiratory Care required 1 year of Respiratory Therapy experience preferred (CRT experience considered; must obtain RRT if not already held) BLS required within 30 days of hire ACLS required within 30 days of hire PALS required within 30 days of hire NRP required within 60 days of hirePay Details: $24.93 to $33.59 per hour Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
