Collections Specialist for Legal Matters Zurich is seeking a talented Collections Specialist to become part of our North American headquarters team in Schaumburg, Illinois. This is your opportunity to engage in complex finance operations and build strong relationships between the organization and suppliers, ensuring that financial goals are achieved and compliance with policies is maintained. As a Collections Specialist, you will have the chance to handle complex accounts, including bankruptcies related to legal collections. Your key responsibilities will include: Acting as a primary point of escalation for Finance Operations Associates, offering technical guidance and leadership. Providing timely and accurate responses to both internal and external inquiries, employing your expertise in complex situations. Analyzing key performance indicators proactively and communicating updates and challenges to management. Understanding customer needs, reviewing processes, and suggesting improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Leading and collaborating on moderately complex ad hoc projects. Basic Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree with 4 or more years of experience in Finance Operations, or A High School Diploma or Equivalent with 6 or more years of experience in Finance Operations, or A Certified Zurich Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate's Degree with 4 or more years of experience in Finance Operations, and Solid knowledge of financial collection practices and procedures. Familiarity with accounting standards and practices. Preferred Qualifications: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong quantitative and analytical abilities. Experience in the insurance industry is a plus. Compensation: Your pay at Zurich is influenced by your role, location, skills, and experience, with the proposed salary range for this position being $71,100.00 - $116,500.00.
