Network Tester 4

The Mobile Field Network Tester is responsible for verifying and validating mobile device and network performance in real 4G/5G environments. This role involves field testing, drive testing, log analysis, and troubleshooting network behaviors to ensure strong device performance and a high-quality user experience. Work includes testing wireless connectivity, call processing, mobility, and data throughput across various geographic locations and network conditions. Strict adherence to safety and field operation guidelines is required. Key Responsibilities Analyze customer and project needs, converting them into field and system test requirements. Conduct field and lab testing for 4G/5G, VoLTE, and NR features. Prepare devices, software, and test tools before field work. Perform drive tests to measure coverage, throughput, latency, mobility, and call performance. Collect, review, and troubleshoot logs from field sites, labs, and live networks. Evaluate new software and firmware performance. Monitor and analyze RAN KPIs; recommend improvements and optimization actions. Create or update test routes to support new network features or changes. Document results and prepare detailed reports using tools such as QXDM, QCAT, TEMS, or Nemo. Identify, track, and report defects using project management or PLM systems. Collaborate with development, QA, engineering, and carrier partners to resolve issues. Support technical evaluations in pre-sales or solution-proposal stages. Follow safety procedures for driving and field testing equipment. Skills & Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field. 0-2 years of experience in field network testing, telecom engineering, or mobile QA. Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage time in a fast-paced testing environment. Understanding of LTE/NR network architecture (RAN, Core, IMS). Familiarity with air interface protocols, signaling, and call processing. Experience with field test tools such as QXDM, QCAT, TEMS, or Nemo. Knowledge of KPIs like RSRP, SINR, CQI, and throughput. Valid driver's license and commitment to safe field operations. Nice to Have Coding skills (Python, SQL). Ability to speak Korean (not required but beneficial). Experience creating test cases, documentation, and test processes. Ability to support software testing across the full development lifecycle. Additional Requirements Ability to think critically, solve problems, and adapt quickly. Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to detect, track, and document software defects. Comfortable working with minimal supervision. Must follow all safety standards and procedures during testing.
