Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Determine budget and scheduling priority for projects. Assign projects to Project Managers based on skills, capacity, and schedule requirements. Act as the central point of contact for all project escalations from Project Managers and Business Stakeholders. Oversee project management functions including work breakdown, scheduling, tracking against milestones, and budgeting. Collaborate with technical PMs on inter-dependent projects and Program Managers to deliver the overall enterprise strategy. Manage a department or small sub-function that includes multiple teams led by managers and/or supervisors. Responsible for creating workforce and staffing plans to ensure availability of human capital to achieve departmental business results. Hold hiring, firing, promotion, and reward authority within the area, in line with established guidelines. Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Enterprise Project & Program Leadership: Lead the end-to-end delivery of strategic enterprise technology initiatives, ensuring completion on time, within budget, and to high quality and security standards. Strategic Alignment & Governance: Ensure all project activities support the company's enterprise IT strategy, architectural roadmaps, and governance frameworks. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary liaison for all project stakeholders, including business unit leaders, enterprise architects, IT operations, security teams, and key external vendor partners. Complex Integration Management: Manage a complex integration landscape, coordinating dependencies and collaborations with vendors and internal systems. Agile & SAFe Practice Leadership: Champion and implement SAFe principles across project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. Risk, Issue & Dependency Management: Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and cross-program dependencies, developing contingency plans and escalating as necessary. Resource & Financial Oversight: Manage substantial project budgets and resource allocation, ensuring optimal utilization and financial accountability. Technical Acumen & Architectural Adherence: Ensure project solutions align with enterprise technical architecture within areas like AWS cloud infrastructure and security protocols. Executive Reporting & Communication: Provide regular updates, performance metrics, and strategic presentations to executive leadership and steering committees. Team Leadership & Development: Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, cultivating a high-performance and collaborative environment. Vendor & Partner Relationship Management: Strategically manage key technology vendors and implementation partners. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study. 10+ years of relevant professional experience. 5+ years as a project manager or program manager in medium to large organizations. 3+ years managing direct report resources or 4+ years managing indirect resources. Experience with managing complex programs and operational processes. Strong leadership and conflict resolution skills. Experience overseeing budgets. Knowledge of SAFe6 or similar frameworks is required. Advanced proficiency in project management tools such as MS Project, SmartSheet, Jira, and Planview. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Experience with Salesforce implementation or certification is highly desired. Scrum Master and/or RTE certification is a plus. PMP, ITIL, or Agile certification is advantageous. Maximus is an equal opportunity employer. Compensation: The minimum salary is $150,000.00 and the maximum salary is $170,000.00.
