Job Summary This position is responsible for all phases of maintenance duties in the repair and alteration of buildings and equipment. Additionally, this role will lead and train less experienced Engineering staff. Memorial Hermann TIRR 1333 Moursund St 2nd Floor, Houston, TX 77030 Schedule: Friday & Monday: 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, Saturday & Sunday: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm Minimum Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or GED License/Certifications: None Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Minimum 3 years of hospital maintenance experience or similar experience in a recognized mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, electronics, or general construction trade/military background. Ability to read, write, and follow oral and/or written instructions. Principal Accountabilities Perform routine standard servicing and repair operations to maintain hospital buildings, equipment, furnishings, fixtures, and grounds in proper condition as directed. Conduct urgent, corrective, routine, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems as required; perform preventative maintenance on equipment and structures while maintaining related records. Maintain and repair HVAC controls and associated equipment to maximize efficiency in all environmentally controlled areas. Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; adhere to all Memorial Hermann policies, procedures, and standards while managing budgetary specifications, including time and supply management. Promote individual professional growth by meeting mandatory/continuing education requirements, supporting department goals that contribute to organizational success; serve as a mentor and resource to less experienced staff. Other duties as assigned.
