Job Description: Non Registered Radiologic Technologist (PRN) St. Joseph Hospital Pay: $20.67/hour Status: PRN | Temporary Developmental Role Launch Your Radiology Career with St. Joseph Hospital St. Joseph Hospital is seeking a Non Registered Radiologic Technologist (PRN) who is actively completing clinical requirements and preparing to advance into a Registered Radiologic Technologist role. This position is designed to provide hands on experience in a supportive, high quality imaging environment under the supervision of experienced registered technologists to current Radiologic Technologist students that are nearing graduation. This role is ideal for individuals who are motivated, patient focused, and committed to advancing into a Radiology Tech Registered position as soon as eligibility requirements are met. Job Summary Under the supervision of a Registered Radiologic Technologist , the Non Registered Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures within their Scope of Practice , supporting patient care, image quality, and departmental workflow while progressing toward full registration. Essential Functions Practices strictly within the scope of state licensure and role limitations Maintains ARRT or modality specific competency in all applicable clinical and technical functions Verifies patient identity and imaging orders; prepares patients for examinations Performs diagnostic imaging exams according to departmental protocols Reviews images for quality, clarity, and diagnostic accuracy Adheres to all radiation safety standards to maintain a safe environment for patients and caregivers Completes imaging studies efficiently without compromising patient care or quality Provides clear patient education, ensures comfort, and addresses patient concerns Practices appropriate infection control and sterile techniques Operates imaging equipment and related information systems accurately Maintains complete and accurate patient records, documentation, and exam details Follows established protocols related to medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, quality control programs, and equipment issue reporting Minimum Qualifications Must be currently enrolled in a Radiologic Technologist program and in clinicals, nearing graduation Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of anatomy Image evaluation and quality assessment Imaging equipment operation Contrast protocols Emergency response awareness Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate Strong teamwork and collaboration skills Effective verbal and written communication Experience with electronic imaging systems Task prioritization in a fast paced clinical setting Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment Why St. Joseph Hospital At St. Joseph Hospital, you'll gain meaningful clinical experience in a collaborative imaging department that values patient safety, professional development, and clinical excellence .
