SHIFT SNA - Shift 3 (15%) A BRIEF OVERVIEW The CNC Machinist Specialist plays a crucial role in the production of medical devices by operating and performing setups on CNC 2 and 3 Axis machines. This position involves the ability to identify X, Y, Z, and 0 coordinates while managing multiple CNC machines simultaneously, including Lathes, EDM Wire, and Plunge machines, as well as operating manual machine tools to cut, drill, shape, and finish high-quality products. Experience in CNC Machining within a manufacturing environment is a must. WHAT YOU WILL DO Report directly to the area Supervisor. Perform basic machining functions necessary to produce parts. Operate multiple machines at once while ensuring efficiency. Monitor machine operation for optimal performance according to established programs. Complete shop work orders, inspection documentation, and daily maintenance sheets accurately. Make offsets and adjustments to machines with moderate supervision. Advocate for the health and safety of yourself, co-workers, customers, and the community. Support quality and compliance by strictly adhering to all procedures, work instructions, and forms per the Quality Management Systems (QMS). Complete all required training in a timely manner. EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or equivalent (Preferred) EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Lean Manufacturing Experience (Preferred) Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing (Preferred) 1+ Years of Experience Operating Machining Equipment in a Manufacturing Environment (Preferred) LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS Machining Trade School (Preferred) KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS THAT ENABLE SUCCESS Effective problem-solving skills Machine setup experience Visual quality assurance skills Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) Blueprint reading proficiency Basic knowledge of information processing Experience with quality inspection and metrology tools High attention to detail and accuracy Basic writing skills Data entry experience Basic mathematical skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to remain stationary (Frequently) Mobility within the building (Occasionally) Ability to move equipment as needed (Occasionally) Capability to position oneself and navigate around equipment (Occasionally) Constantly handle, adjust, inspect, and position various items and equipment Communicate and exchange information effectively with others (Frequently) Perform repetitive handling and adjusting tasks (Constantly) Distinguish and detect various information such as writing and defects (Frequently) WORKING CONDITIONS Exposure to noise (Frequently) PAY RATE The pay for this job type varies based on the scope and complexity of job responsibilities, with a range of $17.26 - $23.00 per hour. A 15% premium is added to the base hourly pay for all hours worked during the 3rd Shift.
