We are excited to invite applications for the position of Process Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing and implementing advanced chemical processes for state-of-the-art semiconductor and high-tech manufacturing environments that cater to industry leaders. Collaborating closely with fellow engineers and project managers, you will tackle intricate design challenges using the latest methodologies, ensuring compliance with specifications and timely project delivery. As part of our commitment to innovation, all team members will receive training in Microsoft Copilot to enhance their daily work operations. Key Responsibilities: Design chemical systems including P&ID development, process flow diagrams, and control philosophy documentation. Perform detailed engineering calculations related to fluid flow, pressure drop, heat transfer, and mass balance for systems such as high purity water, specialty gases, and hazardous chemical processes. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, controls, and civil teams to ensure seamless integration of system designs, resolving conflicts using integrated project delivery methodologies. Support construction phases by reviewing shop drawings, addressing RFIs, evaluating submittals, and conducting site visits to ensure installation aligns with design specifications. Conduct quality assurance checks and participate in peer reviews to confirm adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements before final submission of project deliverables. Work closely with senior engineers to address complex problems and devise effective engineering solutions. Contribute to the development of junior engineers by providing mentorship and documenting lessons learned for standard work processes. Manage project documentation to ensure timely updates and maintain version control under established change management protocols. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution required; qualifications for professional engineering (PE) licensure in the state of practice are essential. Candidates with a Professional Engineering (PE) license will be given preference and may be considered for a higher salary range based on experience. Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit for process engineering deliverables, including 3D modeling and drafting of process piping systems. Demonstrated experience in designing chemical process systems involving fluid transfer, heat exchange, specialty gases, and hazardous wastewater treatment. Strong knowledge of P&ID development, control valve specification, and control philosophy documentation. Experience with engineering systems related to fluid transfer, heat exchange, friction loss, ultrapure/high purity water, specialty gas systems, and hazardous waste management. Experienced in conducting hydraulic calculations, including friction loss analyses and pump sizing per recognized engineering methods. Proven ability to engage professionally with project managers, clients, vendors, and contractors to ensure alignment on project scope, timeline, and quality criteria. Excellent communication skills, capable of technical writing, client presentations, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration. Semiconductor experience is preferred. Salary Range: $90,000 - $135,000/year based on location, education, experience, and relevant certifications.
