With decades of experience, we pride ourselves on delivering projects of exceptional quality, on schedule, and with safety as our top priority.We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager with hotel and restaurant construction and renovation experience to join our Torrance-based team. This role supports the Project Manager in overseeing projects from pre-construction through closeout and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.ResponsibilitiesAssist the Project Manager in managing all phases of construction projects from initiation to completionSupport pre-construction planning, budgeting, and project execution strategiesCoordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, inspectors, and other construction professionalsAssist in negotiating and managing contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliersSecure and maintain necessary permits and licensesEnsure jobsite compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirementsAssist in scheduling key deliverables and milestones and monitor progress against the project scheduleSupport cost tracking, budgeting, forecasting, and basic cost estimating effortsCoordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and outside contractors to ensure timely performanceManage and track RFIs, submittals, change orders, and other project documentationMaintain accurate project logs, reports, and electronic document control proceduresMonitor material procurement and deliveries to align with project timelinesTrack inspections, testing, and quality control documentationParticipate in project meetings and report on progress, risks, and potential delaysIdentify potential project issues and assist in developing mitigation strategiesSupport closeout processes, including punch lists and as-built documentationBuild and maintain strong working relationships with clients, consultants, and project teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferredMinimum of 2–5 years of experience in hotel and restaurant construction or renovation projectsProject management certification preferredWorking knowledge of construction management methods and processesFamiliarity with construction contracts, legal requirements, and business practicesKnowledge of construction methods, building materials, and applicable building codesAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneouslyStrong organizational skills and attention to detailStrong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skillsAbility to break large projects into manageable steps and execute effectivelyAbility to travel to project sites as neededProximity to the Torrance office for regular in-office workSkillsProcoreMicrosoft ExcelMicrosoft WordMicrosoft Office 365Construction management software and web-based applications
