Job Description The Oracle Government, Defense, and Intelligence organization is seeking a skilled Cloud Services Developer proficient in designing, developing, configuring, optimizing, and maintaining applications on major cloud platforms such as Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who enjoys tackling challenging issues creatively. You will have a robust developer background, hands-on experience with cloud-native services, and the drive to deliver quality results that meet critical customer needs. Responsibilities Assist in deploying deliverables on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) utilizing cloud-native services such as Kubernetes, Terraform, Oracle Database, Containers, Docker, and REST APIs. Develop and maintain codebases supporting the deliverables in languages like Linux, Java, SQL, and Python. Configure services on Linux and Windows operating systems. Engage in various stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), applying best practices to all programming efforts. Create and maintain automated tests using JUnit or similar testing frameworks, ensuring secure coding and deployment processes. Monitor and optimize the performance, reliability, and security of services in the cloud environment. Implement security best practices, such as identity management and encryption, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal standards. Collaborate with project leadership to deliver assigned technical tasks on schedule. Demonstrate initiative and a curiosity for learning new tools, frameworks, and technologies. Required Qualifications Hands-on experience in software development or engineering with a focus on technology and problem-solving. Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, SQL; Linux expertise required). Ability to apply software testing concepts and practical experience with testing frameworks to ensure code quality. Understanding of cloud computing concepts, particularly those related to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and cloud-native services. Interest in Agile methodologies and collaborative development. Strong desire for continuous learning and professional growth. A keen understanding of the importance of confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications Degree(s) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Computer Engineering. Familiarity with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) fundamentals and pursuing or holding OCI Certification is a plus. Experience using Oracle RDBMS or similar databases through coursework, projects, or internships is advantageous. Knowledge or willingness to learn middleware technologies (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss, Apache Tomcat) is beneficial. Coursework or familiarity with Oracle Visual Builder Studio, Oracle Application Express (APEX), or similar cloud development tools. Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly clearance. Salary and Benefits: Range information for this position is specific to the stated locations only. The US hiring range is from $97,500 to $199,500 per year, with potential eligibility for bonuses and equity.
