Estimator / Project Manager

Apollo Technical has an immediate need for an estimator /project manager in the Gastonia NC area This is a long term position with a busy company We're looking for a detail-oriented Estimator to deliver accurate, profitable bids and provide exceptional technical support to our customers. This role bridges the gap between initial inquiry and the production floor. Key Responsibilities Estimating: Interpret CAD files, prints, and sketches to determine material, labor, and machine-time requirements. Inside Sales: Handle walk-in, phone, and online inquiries, assisting customers with technical sheet metal needs. Project Management: Track design changes, manage change orders, and update estimates to ensure project accuracy. Optimization: Identify cost-saving opportunities and manufacturing efficiencies without sacrificing quality. Collaboration: Work closely with management and production teams to ensure seamless project hand-offs. Qualifications Experience: 2+ years in estimating, ideally within metal fabrication or manufacturing. AutoCAD experience Technical Skills: Proficient in blueprint reading and CAD interpretation. Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of metal types and processes (cutting, welding, bending, and finishing).
