Loss Prevention Specialist

Position Purpose: The Loss Prevention Specialist is crucial in safeguarding the company's assets by preventing theft and fraud while ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards across assigned stores. This role employs various strategies to mitigate financial loss, including: Identifying theft and fraud incidents Reviewing CCTV footage and exception reports Monitoring physical security measures within the store Auditing Electronic Article Surveillance systems Fostering a culture of shrink elimination In addition to these tasks, the specialist is responsible for: Preparing accurate and detailed case reports to document apprehensions and recoveries Preserving evidence related to incidents Collaborating with law enforcement agencies Testifying in criminal and civil court proceedings The Loss Prevention Specialist must promptly report any hazardous or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty. Job responsibilities should be carried out in a way that minimizes risks of injury to themselves, fellow associates, vendors, customers, and the company. Integrity is essential in this role, as is the ability to respond to asset protection and operational concerns from all associates while remaining focused on specific business objectives supporting key asset protection and operational duties.
