Position Overview As an Assistant Restaurant Manager at Applebee's®, you will play a vital role in the daily operations of the restaurant. Your mission will be to inspire both guests and staff to engage passionately in their experience at Applebee's®. You'll need to be an exemplary team leader, adept at problem-solving and managing stress. Although the role is demanding, you'll find it to be exceptionally rewarding! Key Responsibilities: Ensure timely, friendly service that adheres to company guidelines while meeting established objectives. Cultivate a positive culture aligned with Flynn Applebee's core values. Address and resolve guest complaints swiftly and effectively. Prioritize guest interactions by completing required table visits according to Flynn Applebee's standards. Maintain appropriate inventory levels in the restaurant. Conduct line checks to guarantee product preparation and presentation meet company standards. Develop effective staff schedules to meet sales demands. Implement and maintain safety and security programs. Foster cleanliness and sanitation throughout the restaurant. Report maintenance needs to the General Manager/Area Director promptly. Promote recruitment and referral of potential team members and management candidates. Facilitate training procedures for new managers and ongoing development for existing staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide fair feedback to employees regularly. Document any situations that may necessitate disciplinary or corrective action. Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures. Manage costs effectively in the assigned department. Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations. Conduct bi-weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories as directed by the AD/GM. Prepare and submit accurate daily paperwork. Ensure sanitation standards exceed Health Department and company standards. Serve as a role model for managers and staff. Develop proficiency in all store-related technology. Be willing to support all positions within the restaurant as needed. Utilize the Management Development Program for personal growth in leadership skills. Education and Experience: 2-3 years of experience in restaurant management. Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol certifications are a plus. Compensation and Benefits: Hourly pay ranges from $20.98 to $27.27, approximately $60,000 to $78,000 annually based on a 50-hour work week. Potential for monthly bonuses where applicable. Physical Requirements: Ability to work various shifts, including weekends. Stand and maintain mobility for up to ten hours. Lift items weighing up to 50 pounds safely.
