School Social Worker - Romeoville, IL - $50/hr

Pay Rate: $50/hr Schedule: 37.5 hours/week (Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-3:40 PM) Assignment Dates: ASAP - 5/22/2026 Overview We are seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to provide school-based social-emotional support to kidos within a structured educational environment. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to the development of IHPs/IEPs for kidos who require targeted social work services and support. You'll support approximately 30 kidos across Supported Education and Gifted programs, helping them navigate social, emotional, and behavioral needs to promote their overall success. Position DetailsResponsibilities Provide social-emotional and behavioral support services to assigned kidos. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service team members. Participate in IHP/IEP development, implementation, and ongoing monitoring. Conduct assessments and create student-centered intervention strategies. Maintain accurate documentation and follow all regulatory guidelines. Support kidos through individual sessions, small-group work, and crisis response as needed. Caseload 30 kidos Supported Education & Gifted program mix Full-time, in-person role Modality Licensed Social Worker (PEL required) Virtual first interview; optional in-person follow-up Minimum Requirements Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement. MSW or LCSW may be required per state or contract. CPR certification if applicable. TB questionnaire, PPD, or chest X-ray if applicable. Current Health Certificate (if required). Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements. Must be at least 18 years old. Prior School Social Worker experience with ISBE certification.
