Job Details Location: Sheboygan, WI 53081 (Lake Michigan region) Setting: 24-bed Med/Surg Unit in a 101-bed hospital (Level IV Trauma Center & Primary Stroke Center) Contract Type: Travel Nurse (Travel RN) Duration: 13 weeks (Start: March 30, 2026 — End: June 27, 2026) Shift: 12-hour nights, 1900-0700 (typically 36 hours/week) Estimated Weekly Pay: $1890-$1990/week Weekend Rotation: Every third weekend Holiday Expectations: May include up to 3 holidays during contract Scrub Color: Any solid, professional color Parking: Free on-site Qualifications & Job Requirements Active RN license (Wisconsin or compact state) — eligible for travel nurse assignments Minimum 2+ years of recent Med/Surg experience (Med/Surg RN) BLS certification required NIHSS certification preferred (stroke center experience a plus) EPIC EMR experience preferred — familiarity with electronic charting improves onboarding Clinical skills: PIV starts, wound care, dressing changes, wound vacs, drains, chest tube care, stable trach management Experience caring for patients on BiPAP/CPAP and managing insulin and heparin drips Ability to float within scope of practice to MS1, Cardiac MS2, and ED Holding units as needed Responsibilities Deliver compassionate, evidence-based Med/Surg nursing care to a diverse patient population, including ortho (total hip/knee, spinal surgeries) and general medical diagnoses (CHF, COPD, respiratory, renal, hepatic, GI) Maintain an expected patient ratio of 1:5 on night shifts Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team: CNAs, charge nurses, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, OT/PT/ST, and support staff Document patient care accurately in EPIC and utilize Pyxis for medication dispensing Perform clinical tasks including IV/medication administration, drain and wound management, chest tube care, and respiratory support Participate in orientation, ongoing professional development, and unit-based education Adhere to facility policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and high-quality outcomes Provide mentorship and support to first-time travelers and new staff when needed Why Join This Travel Nurse Assignment Work in a modern, accredited hospital (Level IV Trauma Center & Primary Stroke Center) Supportive team environment with professional development and orientation Free on-site parking and convenient Lake Michigan location Opportunity to grow your Med/Surg RN experience and EPIC proficiency Ideal for RNs seeking travel nurse roles and Wisconsin nursing jobs Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse (Travel RN) in Sheboygan, WI.
