Join Our Team as a Shift Leader You are applying for work with Papa Murphy's, a franchisee of Papa Murphy's, not Papa Murphy's International, Inc., or any of its affiliates. If hired, the franchisee will be your only employer. Franchisees are independent business owners who set their own wage and benefit programs that can vary among franchisees. Position Summary As a Shift Leader, you will be the driving force behind our operations during your shift, ensuring a seamless experience for both team members and guests. Your leadership will create a positive environment where everyone thrives. Key Responsibilities Be punctual and in uniform, ready to manage your shift. Demonstrate proficiency in Counter, Prep, and Cashier roles. Ensure all team members are properly dressed, clocked in, and at their assigned positions on time. Conduct a thorough store walk-through to confirm readiness for business, following the pre-rush checklist. Supervise and engage with your team to uphold high standards of guest service and product quality as outlined in the Operations Manual. Safeguard cash handling processes to ensure accuracy and security of funds. Follow proper food handling, sanitation, safety, and security guidelines as detailed in the Operations Manual. Adhere to labor guidelines and ensure compliance with labor laws, including scheduling and breaks. Complete all opening, closing, change of shift, and early-out duties following established checklists. Maintain accurate records and paperwork using the POS system. Ensure an ample supply of fully proofed crusts is always available. Oversee the sale of pre-made pizzas, ensuring they meet the required proofing time before sale. Maintain adequate prepped products for the shift and facilitate production as needed. Communicate any shift challenges to your supervisor, addressing issues like scheduling and product shortages as necessary. Resolve emergencies, guest complaints, and team member issues according to established protocols. Provide training and development for team members as directed by your supervisor. Carry out any other job-related duties as assigned by your supervisor. Additional Information: Required Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory. Experience: Minimum of six months in a Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) environment with prior roles in cashier, counter, and prep positions. Skills and Abilities: Consistent attendance and punctuality. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively at the work location. Basic math skills are essential. Capability to build and maintain positive relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and guests. Physical stamina to move around the store and direct team members throughout your shift. Required to lift food items weighing up to 30 pounds to shoulder height.
