Job Summary The Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant is responsible for conducting informal speech-language screening without interpretation, as developed by the attending speech-language pathologist. Provide direct treatment assistance to students at all grade levels and diagnoses under the supervision of the supervising speech pathologist and follow and document direct treatment plans or protocols as developed by the attending speech pathologist. Requirements / Qualifications BA degree from an accredited college or university recognized by the American Speech and Hearing Association. Completion of an extensive based supervised internship program leading to pending or active state licensure to practice as a qualified Speech and Language Assistant. Complete a minimum of 12 hours of continuing professional development as required by national and California state standards every two years
