About the role: As a Solutions Architect, you'll take charge of shaping commercially viable, innovative solutions for our largest and most complex client pursuits. This pre-sales role requires you to partner closely with Sales, ensuring your architectural designs not only meet client needs but also align with our business objectives. From initial qualification to closing deals, you will play a pivotal role in winning transformational opportunities. Lead the architecture for large, complex multi-tower pursuits and take responsibility as the overall solution owner. Collaborate deeply with Sales, shaping deals by influencing scope, structure, pricing, and value. Coordinate cross-functional teams including Sales, Consulting, Product, Finance, Legal, and Delivery to craft winning solutions. Facilitate client discovery and solutioning workshops, ensuring outputs align with business goals and commercial realities. Develop and deliver clear solution narratives and business cases to both technical and executive audiences. Build commercial constructs and pricing models for IT outsourcing, managed services, cloud, and transformation deals. Engage in deal reviews and provide senior leadership with insights on commercial viability, risk, and competitive positioning. Ensure smooth transitions by supporting solution handoffs, knowledge transfers, and comprehensive deal documentation. Create and refine client-facing collateral and solution assets, often developing new materials from scratch. What Makes This Role Unique: This role transcends traditional technical architecture; it combines strong business and financial insights. Engage with high-stakes, high-visibility pursuits and assistance with smaller deals and renewals as needed. Work in a pod model alongside another Solutions Architect, collaborating closely with a dedicated sales leader. We are committed to your success and have outlined essential qualifications below: Required Qualifications: Experience as a pre-sales Solution Architect or Solution Engineer in a services provider or MSP setting. A proven track record in supporting or leading large, complex IT outsourcing, managed services, cloud, or transformation deals. Familiarity with public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid solutions is preferred. Experience across the hosting technology landscape, covering compute, storage, network, security, EUC, BC/DR, DevOps, and IT governance. Successfully closed 10+ deals with total contract values exceeding $50M. Strong grasp of complex solution selling, including business, contractual, and financial considerations. Broad technical understanding of data center, hosting, hybrid cloud, and managed services environments. Comfort with pricing models, multi-year constructs, and deal economics. Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence C-suite stakeholders. Able to thrive in fast-paced and ambiguous environments. Deep comprehension of IT services outsourcing models. Desirable Attributes: Business-minded and outcome-driven. Confident, curious, and willing to engage with complex challenges. Innately collaborative, serving as a strong partner to Sales and delivery teams. Skilled in content creation, storytelling, and direct client engagement. Composed under pressure, even with stringent timelines and high stakes. Travel Expectations: This client-facing role will involve approximately 40% travel. In-person presence is crucial during key engagement phases, although remote work is supported when not on-site. Experience & Education: 15+ years of overall experience, with at least 10 years in IT outsourcing services or cloud-managed services environments.
