Epic Billing Analyst

Title : Epic Billing Analyst Location: Jamaica, NY Type : FTE Job Summary The Epic Billing Analyst is a healthcare IT professional responsible for configuring, supporting, and optimizing Epic's billing and revenue cycle applications. This role focuses on ensuring accurate charge capture, claims processing, reporting, and system performance to support efficient healthcare billing operations. Key Responsibilities Configure and maintain Epic Resolute Professional Billing (PB) or Hospital Billing (HB) modules Manage charge router, benefit engines, claims processing, and payment workflows nalyze billing workflows and data collection processes to identify improvement opportunities Provide application support and troubleshooting for end-users Lead or support system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and industry standards (e.g., ICD-10, HIPAA) Collaborate with IT, finance, and billing teams to align system functionality with business needs Design, build, test, and document system changes Develop and maintain billing and revenue cycle reports ssist in creating training materials for new system features Participate in on-call support rotations for 24/7 system coverage Required Skills Strong expertise in Epic Resolute PB or HB modules Knowledge of charge routing, work queues, statement processing, and collections workflows Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong verbal and written communication abilities bility to manage tasks, lead meetings, and support project plans High attention to detail and documentation accuracy Solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle operations and regulations Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or related field ssociate's degree with equivalent experience may be considered Experience: 2-3+ years of experience supporting healthcare information systems Hospital billing environment experience preferred Epic or similar healthcare application experience required Certification: Epic Resolute Hospital Billing (HB) or Professional Billing (PB) certification preferred Certification may be required within a defined timeframe Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio Familiarity with project management tools Career Growth This role provides opportunities to advance into: Epic Project Manager Clinical Informatics Specialist Healthcare IT Leadership roles
