RN Emergency Room | Lees Summit, Missouri

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with Emergency Room expertise to provide critical care in a fast-paced hospital environment. This contract position is located in Lees Summit, MO, and requires a strong background in emergency nursing with specific qualifications and experience. Key Qualifications and Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience in Emergency Room settings Current Missouri RN license or Compact license Cerner charting system proficiency (required without exceptions) Prior travel nursing experience (required without exceptions) Current certifications: American Heart Association ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC EKG proficiency with a mandatory pass of at least 80% on orientation day (focus on lethal rhythms) CPI certification will be needed starting January 2026 Ability to work 3 consecutive 12-hour night shifts (18:45 - 07:15), including every other weekend; block scheduling is not available Primary Responsibilities: Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care, responding to diverse patient needs in a dynamic ER environment Utilize Cerner EMR system accurately and efficiently for patient documentation and charting Maintain up-to-date certification qualifications and complete necessary assessments, including EKG proficiency Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes Location Insight: Lees Summit, MO is an inviting city featuring a blend of urban convenience and a friendly community atmosphere.
