Job Title: Power Distribution TechnicianDepartment:TP)Facility Technology TeamShift:Nights 545pm-6am or Days 545am-6pm, 2-2-3 fixed schedule (Shift placement will be based on position availability)Direct Report:Maintenance Unit ManagerAbout the Power Distribution Technician positionWe are looking for an experienced Technician who will support high to medium voltage switchgear/breaker and high to medium voltage maintenanceTechnician responsibilities are: Perform all work safely and according to company standardsWork well with others within the team and throughout the organizationRegular attendance is an essential function of the positionProvide high level skills and expertise applicable to the installation, operation, maintenance, modification, repair and evaluation of electrical power distribution systems and their controlsPerform medium voltage isolation, switching, and manual grounding at voltages up to 6.9kVProvide support by troubleshooting and repair the medium voltage systems, underground cables, and transformer equipmentPerform preventative maintenance processes, such as Infrared Fault Detection SurveysFamiliar with NETA electrical testing standardsTroubleshoot automated control systems, including SCADA systems, instrumentation and electrical equipment, protective relays, and associated equipmentBe proficient at Root Cause Analysis to accurately determine equipment failure and the reason for failures when they occurAssist with maintaining drawings, specifications, test logs, and calibration logsResearch equipment manuals and requisition repair partsTutor, instruct, train, and assist with other personnel as requiredPerform other duties as assigned by management Technician requirements are:Education: (Required) high school diploma or GED Experience: (Required) at least 4+ years of previous maintenance experience in an industrial environment Language: (Required) good command of written and spoken English Skills & Knowledge: Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenanceOperations Monitoring - Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properlyProduction and Processing - Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goodsCritical Thinking Skills - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problemsSpeaking - Talking to others to convey information effectivelyWriting - Communicating effectively in writing as appropriate for the needs of the audienceActive Listening - Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate timesReading Comprehension - Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work-related documents Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to handle or feel; to reach with hands and arms; and to talk and hearMobility throughout the facilityWorking in warm temperatures with no air condition, working outside at times during cold weatherEmployee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, walk, crouch or crawlEmployee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted on a frequent basisWorking at heights of 10 feet or greater, operating lifting devices, and entering confined spacesSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus Benefits: 401(k), 401(k) matchingHealth insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurancePaid Time OffPaid Holidays Hankook Tire is an equal opportunity employer.
