This integral position combines solution architecture with hands-on development, focusing on improving and documenting our financial applications. The perfect candidate will excel in reverse-engineering legacy systems while facilitating the seamless transition of applications to the cloud. Pay: $80 - $100/hr W2 Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis. Responsibilities: Reverse Engineer & Document: Analyze and document existing financial applications and architecture. Development & Modernization: Engage in hands-on coding in C#.NET (primary) and VB.NET (secondary) to modernize legacy codebases. Cloud Migration: Assist in initiatives to transition applications to the cloud. Data Integration & ETL: Collaborate on ADF pipelines and ETL processes; understand data movement principles. Excel Macro Translation: Reverse-engineer Excel macros to gather requirements and suggest future-state solutions. Financial Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with SAP GL integrations, preparing for upcoming replacement and enterprise data warehouse projects. Collaboration: Work closely with the development team and mentor junior members in architecture modernization. Reporting & Analytics: Gain exposure to Power BI, DAX, SQL, and optionally Python for analytics and reporting tasks. Architecture Documentation: Prepare comprehensive Solution Architecture documentation for HR and internal stakeholders. Experience Requirements: Proven hands-on experience with C#.NET and VB.NET, including legacy code review and modernization. Ability to analyze applications and effectively document architecture. Knowledge of financial systems, journal entries, and FP&A processes is a plus. Familiarity with ETL tools, ADF pipelines, and data architecture concepts. Experience with Excel macros, SQL, and exposure to Power BI/DAX. Strong problem-solving skills and capability to work in a hybrid SA/developer role. Nice-to-Have: Background in FP&A or financial reporting. Knowledge of Python for data manipulation. Experience in cloud migration projects.
