JOB DESCRIPTION - REGISTERED NURSE (A) Job Summary: The Registered Nurse plays a vital role in providing high-quality patient care while working with our client facilities on a supplemental basis. Your primary goal will be to ensure safe and effective nursing care through sound professional judgment and skills. By utilizing the nursing process, you will systematically assess patient needs, plan and implement care strategies, and evaluate outcomes. Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a current RN license in the relevant state. A minimum of one year of clinical experience in your chosen specialty. Supervisory references or verification of previous work experience is required. Current BLS certification is mandatory. Advanced certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC may be required based on the clinical specialty. Duties and Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse is committed to practicing safe and ethical care within the framework established by the state Nursing Practice Act. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Delivering routine nursing care to patients. Educating patients and their families. Assisting physicians with patient care activities. Providing accurate reports on patient status. Monitoring patient conditions according to facility protocols and individual needs. Identifying and responding to changes in patient status. Implementing comfort and safety measures. Delivering age-appropriate care and being sensitive to the cultural diversity of patients. Conducting nursing procedures in accordance with facility policies. Practicing standard precautions consistently. Complying with hospital policies regarding biohazardous materials. Adhering to Joint Commission standards and incorporating National Patient Safety Goals into daily practices. Essential Functions: Possess a thorough understanding of the principles and practices of nursing. Maintain current knowledge of patient care across all life stages, including infants to geriatrics. Effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
