Overview The Vice President of UF Health North provides strategic and operational leadership for the hospital, ensuring excellence in patient care, financial performance, quality outcomes, and community engagement. The role involves close collaboration with service line and matrix leadership teams to enhance operational efficiency and drive sustainable growth. The VP will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of operational management, and the ability to align cross-functional teams to achieve organizational objectives. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing operational policies, overseeing performance metrics, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The VP of Operations will play a critical role in optimizing resource allocation, ensuring service line effectiveness, and enhancing overall customer experience. As the senior executive for the North campus, this role is accountable for aligning operations with UF Health Jacksonville's mission, values, and enterprise-wide goals while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation. QualificationsRequired Education: Master's degree. Specific course work: Master's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Finance, or related clinical field (required) Preferred Education: N/A Necessary Skills: 1. Exceptional leadership skills in a large, complex healthcare system. 2. Strong decision-making ability in multifaceted environments. 3. Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills. 4. Proven fiscal management expertise. 5. Strong public relations and community engagement skills. Required Licensure/Certifications: N/A Preferred Licensure/Certifications: N/A Required Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive senior leadership experience in healthcare, with demonstrated success in hospital or system-level management. Preferred Experience: Academic medical center experience; knowledge of construction project management and physician partnership negotiations. Supervisory Responsibility: Supervisory Responsibility: Yes Budgetary Responsibility: Responsible for annual budget of $132 million (net revenue)
