Wood Moulder OperatorAbout the RoleOperate and maintain industrial wood moulders to produce high‑quality profiles and components. This position requires strong mechanical skill, precision, and the ability to work safely in a production environment.Responsibilities Set up and operate multi‑head moulders for profiles, trim, and custom componentsRead work orders and drawings to determine machine settings and toolingInstall and adjust cutter heads, knives, guides, and feed speedsInspect lumber and verify finished dimensions with measuring toolsMonitor machine performance and make adjustments for quality and throughputPerform routine cleaning, lubrication, and minor maintenanceSafely handle cutting tools and coordinate knife sharpeningMaintain production and quality recordsFollow all safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and PPE requirements Requirements Experience operating wood moulders; SCM and Leadermac experience strongly preferredUnderstanding of wood species and machining characteristicsAbility to read technical drawings and measure to tight tolerancesMechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilityFamiliarity with knife setup and cutterhead safetyAbility to lift 50+ lbs and stand for long periodsStrong attention to detail and quality Preferred Millwork, cabinetry, flooring, or lumber manufacturing experienceKnowledge of dust collection and shop safety standardsKnife grinding or profile knife setup experienceForklift certification Work EnvironmentManufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and moving machinery. PPE required. Overtime or Saturday shifts may be needed based on production demand.
