ESY Site Trainer/Paraprofessional (OPTIONS)

The job of Site Trainer was established for the purpose/s of providing support to the instructional program throughout the community with specific responsibilities for assisting in the assessment process of students referred with special needs; documenting information on student's proficiency; and ensuring compliance with legal and administrative requirements. Minimum requirements: High school diploma Must acquire status as a Highly Qualified paraprofessional Participation, successful completion, and passing required professional development events, in-services, and trainings Experience with children Flexible and reliable Ability to work effectively and regularly with a computer Must have adequate verbal and written communication skills Ability to function under the direction of the teacher Possess good judgment Ability to establish rapport with students Ability to maintain positive relationships with program staff Reliable means of transportation
