We are seeking a Senior Analytical Chemist to join our team as a full-time employee of Parexel FSP on a long-term assignment. This position is based onsite at our client's facility in Rahway, NJ. Key Responsibilities Conduct high-throughput pre-formulation, pre-qualification, robustness, and admixture testing. Analyze and report sample results while ensuring proper documentation in accordance with established methods, protocols, and procedures. Manage samples and monitor controlled temperature units effectively. Adhere to laboratory safety and hygiene procedures at all times. Qualifications B.S. or M.S. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related life sciences field, along with relevant years of experience in analytical chemistry or a biologics testing laboratory: Scientist 3 - B.S. with 3 to 5 years of experience; M.S. with 1 to 2 years of experience. Required Skills and Experience Experience with separations for large molecules, plate-based assays, or significant hands-on instrumental experience with small molecules, demonstrating a strong understanding of separations science and chromatographic techniques. Proficient in analyzing biologics, including monoclonal antibodies and/or other therapeutic proteins using at least one of the following techniques: HPLC / UPLC Protein A Titer, SEC, IEX, AEX, CEX, or HIC Electrophoretic methods CE-SDS and/or cIEF ELISA (HCP, proA) and binding potency assays qPCR and foundational molecular biology techniques Experience with high-throughput liquid handling systems, such as Tecan or Bravo. Basic troubleshooting skills for instrumentation. Competence in following complex scientific protocols and procedures. Aptitude for making precise reagent preparations (dilutions, solutions, buffers, mobile phases). Willingness to train in molecular biology, immunoassays, and analytical chemistry techniques. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.). Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) along with strong attention to detail. Desired Skills and Experience Familiarity with compendial testing techniques, such as UV 280, pH, and physical observations. Strong documentation practices and experience using electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs). Knowledge of LIMS and Empower software. Experience with sample submission and management. Monitoring of controlled temperature units. Experience working with Biosafety Level 2 cabinets/hoods.
