The Rooms Operations Assistant Manager supports the efficient operation of the Rooms Division, overseeing Guest Services, Night Audit, Housekeeping, Custodial, and Laundry functions. Working collaboratively with department leaders, this role helps ensure exceptional guest experiences, high cleanliness standards, and cost-effective operations. This position provides hands-on leadership, supports staffing and administrative functions, manages departmental supplies and timekeeping, and maintains a visible presence with guests by assisting throughout their stay, supporting accurate guest accounts, and coordinating on- and off-property arrangements in accordance with Canyon Ranch standards. ResponsibilitiesWHAT YOU'LL DO AS A CR COLLEAGUE Support the daily operations of the Housekeeping, Custodial, and Laundry, including Guest Services and Night Audit. Partner closely with Front Office and Housekeeping leadership to ensure smooth, cost-effective operations and exceptional guest experiences. Maintain a visible, hands-on presence on the floor, supporting colleagues and assisting guests throughout their stay. Help lead, coach, and support colleagues to ensure service standards, cleanliness expectations, and daily priorities are consistently met. Assist with guest arrival and departure processes, accurate billing, service recovery, and coordination of on- and off-property guest requests. Support room readiness and cleanliness standards through inspections and close coordination between Front Office and Housekeeping. Assist with staffing coordination, scheduling adjustments, and Manager on Duty coverage as needed. Support administrative responsibilities including timekeeping, inventory control, and supply management in alignment with budget expectations. Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations and timely resolution of guest or operational needs. QualificationsWHAT YOU'LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL 1-2 years of supervisory or management experience in Front Office, Housekeeping, or Rooms Division operations. Strong guest-service mindset with the ability to lead calmly in a fast-paced environment. Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both guest service and operational standards. Working knowledge of hotel systems, payroll processes, and basic inventory management preferred. Flexibility to work varying schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. A hands-on leadership style and a genuine commitment to supporting colleagues and guests.
