We are searching for compassionate, strong, and fun folks to work at either of our high quality camp programs. The 2026 Camp Explorer program runs May 28 - August 7. Training required May 18 - May 27 from 4pm to 8pm. Weekly hours range Monday-Friday from 7:30am - 5:30pm. (Some shifts may be over 8 hours a day) Locations are Broomfield Heights Middle School for K-5, Broomfield Commons Park for Middle School programs, and Broomfield Community Center for Extension Camp. Essential Required Tasks/Examples of Duties These positions assist in overseeing the daily operations of the Camp Explorer program. All employees are directly responsible for overseeing the camp site and its staff, along with all aspects of the program which may include staff management, state license compliance, and curriculum development. General Duties:Assists with daily activities, field trips, enrichment classes/programs and special events. Leads all programs by example; coordinates and instructs safe and age appropriate programs activities. Attend scheduled meetings as required. Provides direct supervision to the participants. Camp Leaders require the ability to stay calm and composed in high stress situations. Administers first aid treatment, providing emergency services when necessary. Responsible for proper use and care of materials, equipment, site and facility use Interacts and plays with children in activities that can include the following actions: running, reading, drawing, coloring, talking, walking and singing. Provides comfort to upset children. Assists with cleaning, and organizing supplies. Administrative duties: Head count documentation, first aid documentation Complete required training/ certifications in a timely manner. Minimum Qualifications Experience Each program leader must be at least eighteen (18) years of age, demonstrate ability to work with children, and must have completed at least one (1) of the following qualifications: Must have at least three (3) months (455 hours) of verified experience in the care and supervision of four (4) or more children over the ages of four (4) who are not related to the individual;OR A current early childhood professional credential level I one (1) or higher NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: New hires must, as a condition of employment, pass the following pre-offer and post-offer/hire processes: in-person or virtual interviews, reference checks, background checks including local police check and sex-offender registry.
