POSITION SUMMARY: The HVAC Mechanic II performs independent maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and installations of HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. This position programs and calibrates Building Automation System (BAS) controls and supports specialized system maintenance. The HVAC Mechanic II applies advanced troubleshooting skills and provides guidance to entry-level mechanics while ensuring system reliability and regulatory compliance. Eligible for a $3,000 Sign On Bonus with a 2-year work commitmentQualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/GED 2 years' experience in HVAC system maintenance, repair, and controls. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 Universal Certification or minimum Type II Certification. Valid driver's license. Other Skills/Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot HVAC systems and BAS-controlled environments. Knowledge of air handling units, refrigeration circuits, motors, pumps, and variable-speed drives. Prior experience with low-voltage electrical troubleshooting. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Completion of an accredited HVAC training program or apprenticeship. EPA Universal BAS operator or original equipment manufacturer (OEM)-specific training.
