About the role Seeking a highly experienced Senior Full Stack Java Developer to join our team in a hybrid role based in the Metro DC area. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in designing and building scalable enterprise data governance and metadata management solutions, with experience in Collibra platform integration preferred. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with data governance and engineering teams to innovate and automate data ingestion and metadata processes, ensuring secure and efficient data management. Job Responsibilities Design and develop end-to-end Java-based web applications and microservices. Integrate and customize Collibra APIs, workflows, and Edge Server ingestion pipelines. Develop user-friendly UI components using React, Angular, or Vue.js for data governance dashboards. Configure and optimize Collibra Edge Servers for secure and efficient data ingestion. Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for metadata extraction and transformation. Automate metadata ingestion, data lineage tracking, and governance processes. Implement authentication and authorization for secure application access. Collaborate with data governance, architecture, and engineering teams to enhance data quality and ingestion efficiency. Leverage AI/ML capabilities within Collibra for data quality monitoring and anomaly detection. Participate in Agile development processes and support CI/CD pipeline integration. Strong skills in Java-based RESTful API and microservice development using frameworks like Spring Boot or Quarkus. Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and working with Kafka, NiFi, or AWS Glue. Familiarity with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka and RabbitMQ. Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data lineage concepts. Experience implementing secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth, SAML, LDAP). Understanding of data privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and FedRAMP compliance. Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working in Agile teams. U.S. Citizenship with active DHS clearance or eligibility.
