An opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician specializing in IV admixtures to support healthcare settings in the Los Angeles area. This position focuses on preparing intravenous (IV) admixtures accurately and efficiently, ensuring patient safety and adherence to hospital and pharmacy protocols. Candidates should be IV Certified and possess hands-on expertise in aseptic techniques. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and label IV admixtures following established procedures and safety guidelines Maintain sterile compounding environments to prevent contamination Verify accuracy of medication orders and doses prior to preparation Collaborate with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to ensure timely delivery of compounds Document production and quality control activities in compliance with regulatory standards Monitor inventory of sterile products and supplies, assisting with restocking as necessary Qualifications and Desired Experience: Pharmacy Technician certification with valid licensure IV admixture certification demonstrating proficiency in sterile compounding Proven experience preparing IV admixtures in a clinical or hospital pharmacy setting Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Ability to work effectively during day shifts Excellent communication and team collaboration skills Location: Primarily based in Glendale, CA, with several assignments throughout the Los Angeles area requiring flexibility to travel between locations Schedule: Day shift This position offers a contract-to-hire track, providing candidates with the opportunity for long-term placement after the initial contract period.
