Providing specialized nursing care in a critical care environment focused on adult to geriatric patients, this role requires a registered nurse with a minimum of one year of experience in telemetry nursing. The position is based in Stone Mountain, GA, and operates on a contract basis with night shifts of three 12-hour rotations (19:00 - 07:00). Key Responsibilities: Monitor and manage adult to geriatric patients in an overflow Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) including cardiac, renal, pulmonary, and surgical diagnoses. Provide arrhythmia management, cardioversion, and care for patients with cardiac conditions such as CHF, chest pain, and stable arrhythmias (A-Fib, SVT, Bradycardia). Manage cardiac drips including amiodarone, cardizem, dobutamine, dopamine, nitroglycerin, milrinone, heparin, argatroban, aggrastat, bumex, and lasix. Care for post-cardiac catheterization patients with TR bands and hemodynamic monitoring. Float within the facility as needed while maintaining scope of practice. Utilize Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR documentation systems in daily duties. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Current Registered Nurse license with at least 1 year telemetry nursing experience; first-time telemetry nurses will not be considered. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Strong skills in cardiac drips, arrhythmia knowledge, and post-PCI care. Ability to handle a patient ratio of approximately 1:5-6 in a 32-bed unit. Experience with Epic electronic health records is preferred. Ability to respond within 2 hours if on-call (rarely required). Full compliance with orientation and hospital policies prior to start date. Schedule & Requirements: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM). Weekend work every other weekend.
