Financial Controller (CPA Required)

We're recruiting on behalf of a privately held holding company seeking a highly hands-on Controller to lead full-cycle accounting across multiple entities. Active CPA required. This is not a strategic-only finance role. The right individual will be deeply involved in daily accounting operations while also providing high-level financial oversight. The majority of operational activity supports an aviation components business. Key Responsibilities • Own full-cycle accounting including month-end and year-end close • Prepare consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements • Manage inter-company transactions and multi-entity consolidations • Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and daily transaction flow • Maintain GAAP-compliant general ledgers and audit-ready financial records • Develop and manage annual budgets and rolling forecasts • Provide detailed variance analysis and financial reporting to ownership • Direct cash management and working capital discipline across entities • Approve sourcing and inventory acquisitions above defined thresholds • Calculate and administer sales commissions accurately • Track private equity capital calls, distributions, and investment activity • Strengthen internal controls and improve accounting processes • Coordinate with external tax advisors and auditors as needed Qualifications • Active CPA license required • Extensive in-house Controller experience leading full financial operations • Demonstrated experience with multi-entity accounting and consolidations • Strong background in transaction-heavy, inventory-based, manufacturing, or product-driven environments preferred • Experience with investment or fund accounting a plus • Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical judgment • Proven ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment Compensation • $135,000 - $150,000 base salary • Performance-based bonus • Healthcare benefits • 401(k) plan • Paid vacation This role is ideal for a CPA who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, owning the numbers end-to-end, and operating with precision in a multi-entity environment.
