Job Summary: The Spa Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of all spa areas, assisting guests with their needs, and helping to create a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. This role involves greeting and assisting spa guests, ensuring the spa environment is immaculate, and supporting the spa team to provide exceptional guest experiences. The Spa Attendant plays an essential role in making guests feel comfortable, ensuring their visit is seamless, and maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the spa. Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesGuest Assistance & Service: Greet guests warmly as they enter the spa, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Escort guests to their designated treatment areas and explain the spa facilities and services. Assist guests in completing intake forms and provide them with any necessary information about treatments or the spa’s amenities. Address guest inquiries, concerns, or special requests promptly and professionally, ensuring an exceptional guest experience. Spa Environment Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of all spa areas, including treatment rooms, waiting areas, locker rooms, restrooms, and relaxation zones. Ensure that all spa amenities such as towels, robes, slippers, and toiletries are well-stocked and presented in excellent condition. Clean and sanitize treatment rooms and equipment, following health and safety standards, to ensure a hygienic and safe environment for guests. Ensure spa facilities and common areas, including hallways and elevators, are clean, inviting, and in good condition at all times. Guest Comfort: Provide guests with a tour of the spa, highlighting the relaxation areas, lockers, and any additional amenities or services. Offer and replenish beverages such as water, herbal teas, or other refreshments to enhance the guest experience. Adjust lighting, temperature, and music in treatment areas to create the most relaxing and comfortable environment for guests. Assist in handling guest special requests, ensuring that guests feel pampered and relaxed during their time at the spa. Support for Spa Services: Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for therapists, ensuring that everything needed for each service is available and in place. Help with setting up and cleaning equipment, including massage tables, hot tubs, saunas, and any other treatment-related items. Support spa therapists and other staff members by ensuring the smooth flow of operations, especially during peak hours. Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe and sanitary environment for guests and staff. Ensure that all cleaning and sanitization practices are in compliance with hotel standards and local regulations. Regularly inspect spa equipment and facilities for safety and maintenance issues, promptly reporting any concerns to the Spa Manager. Assist with emergency procedures if necessary, including basic first aid or evacuation protocols. Inventory & Supply Management: Assist in monitoring inventory levels of towels, robes, lotions, oils, and other consumables, ensuring items are replenished as needed. Report any shortages or inventory discrepancies to the Spa Supervisor or Manager for timely restocking. Help organize and store supplies and products in a clean and efficient manner, ensuring easy access when needed. Team Collaboration & Support: Work closely with other members of the spa team, including therapists, receptionists, and managers, to ensure smooth daily operations. Assist in supporting the spa team with any additional tasks or duties as needed, ensuring a cooperative and efficient work environment. Maintain a positive and professional attitude, contributing to a harmonious atmosphere within the spa team and enhancing the overall guest experience. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a guest service or hospitality role, particularly in a spa or wellness environment, is preferred but not required. Basic knowledge of spa services, wellness treatments, and hygiene practices is an advantage. Skills/Specialized Knowledge Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage guests in a friendly, welcoming manner. Ability to maintain a clean and organized environment in a fast-paced setting. Basic understanding of health, safety, and sanitation standards. Knowledge of spa equipment and treatments is helpful, but on-the-job training will be provided. Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as towels, linens, and supplies, as required. Comfortable working in a team environment and assisting with tasks as needed. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for long periods. Ability to lift and carry items up to 25-50 lbs. Ability to bend, kneel, or crouch to assist with cleaning or other tasks. Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including wet areas such as pools, saunas, or steam rooms.
