Job Description Director of Preconstruction - Full-Time | Competitive Salary We are seeking a Director of Preconstruction with 10+ years of experience in mechanical contracting, estimating, or project management. You will lead preconstruction efforts, collaborate with clients, engineers, and internal teams, and ensure projects are set up for success from planning to construction. Responsibilities: Lead preconstruction for mechanical projects (HVAC, plumbing, piping) Oversee design coordination, budgeting, value engineering, and bid analysis Review and finalize detailed cost estimates Build and maintain client, subcontractor, and vendor relationships Collaborate with project managers and estimating teams Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies Ensure smooth transition from preconstruction to construction Qualifications: Bachelors in mechanical engineering, Construction Management, or related field 10+ years in mechanical contracting, sales, estimating, or project management Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and BIM processes Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Proficiency in Excel and construction/project management software Benefits: ESOP & discretionary bonus Health, dental, vision insurance 401(k) with company contributions Paid time off, holidays, and parental leave Tuition & gym reimbursement Apply now to lead preconstruction excellence!
