Job Purpose: The primary function of this role is to oversee and manage three Day Programs in the greater Rochester area (two of which are off site), and an onsite evening Respite program for people with developmental disabilities and traumatic brain injuries. This role will also serve to promote programs growth and provide administration, supervision, and consulting to the community service management team to ensure quality services at all times. Salary:$68,500- $85,500Benefits: 403(b) with discretionary match Dental & Vision insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance with HSA and employer match Health savings account Life insurance Generous PTO bank Parental leave Referral program Essential Functions: Maintain the health and well-being of the individuals EPI serves by ensuring a person-centered approach utilizing community integration, activities/programs and proactive communication with other departments. Handle highly confidential and sensitive information such as Personal Health Information (PHI) in compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations. Monitors all aspects of programs to ensure compliance with federal, state and county regulations/laws/acts. Report all policy violations and incidents to appropriate departmental personnel or regulatory agency. Explore and develop opportunities to enhance and expand EPI services which include: Connecting with communal entities to explore enhancing person supported outings. Building relationships with similar agencies to explore new ideas and innovations. Attending Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) programs/ webinars to ensure understanding of current compliance updates and new regulations. Continuously promote workplace safety for all employees and resolve issues and concerns immediately. Serves as on-call management on a bi-weekly, rotating basis. Responsible for direct care to assist support staff as necessary. Monitor programs/departments budget specific to area of responsibility and strive to maintain spending within assigned budget. Must attend Leadership Academy training as scheduled. Performs other duties as assigned by Sr. Director of Community Services and/or designee within scope of practice. Non-Essential Functions: Participate on various EPI committees as able. Compliance: Must maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion concerning all business-related matters, including but not limited to board/vendors/donors' names, investigations, finance, operations, and employee relations matters. Must be willing to complete specific company-required trainings as mandated by our governing agency, OPWDD and Department of Health (DOH) at time of hire and annually thereafter. Must adhere to all departmental /company policies & procedures at all times. Education and Experience: Minimum Bachelor's degree with three years' experience working with individuals with Developmental Disabilities. One (1) year experience with OPWDD and DOH regulations required. Minimum three (3) years supervisory or managerial experience preferred. Supervision: Manages a diverse team of at least three (3) Managers/ Supervisors as well as overall oversite of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Collaborate with Human Resources for recruitment/onboarding, performance management, etc. Ensure team compliance of annual trainings. Manage direct report(s) time and attendance using HRIS platform. Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft programs to include Email, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams. Qualifications: Must have knowledge of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) wavers. Must possess and maintain a valid NYS Driver's License-a vehicle is required for business travel. Solid verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with all persons supported and a diverse employee population of various levels within the organization. Demonstrated ability to use poise, tact, maturity and diplomacy during difficult and/or stressful situations to effectively collaborate and resolve issues. Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, and customer requests, while meeting deadlines. Physical Demands: The physical demands described below are representative of those that are required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to talk, hear, stand, walk, and/or sit for extended periods of time; may have to twist, bend, use hand to finger, stretch with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus May be exposed to strong odors from time to time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
