High School Transfers - Round 2

Position Type: Transfers & Internal Only/High School Transfers Date Posted: 3/2/2026 Location: District Closing Date: 03/27/2026 Opportunity to Transfer - Round 2 The second High School Teacher transfer window for the 2026-2027 school year is now open! The transfer opportunity process allows for employees to request to transfer to a different building while staying in their same content area. Applicants may choose to submit during any, or all, of the transfer rounds, depending on preference and available information. The transfer requests allow staff to express their transfer preferences while being as specific as possible within the request to assist those administrators conducting the hiring. When submitting the request, staff may include updated application materials (resume, cover letter, etc.), but the system will also allow requests to be submitted without updated materials. Submitting a request does not guarantee a transfer. Any outreaches will be conducted directly by the hiring manager (principal, director, etc.). Placement decisions will begin following the initial round. Examples of valid transfer requests: A science teacher at High School A requesting to transfer to teach science at High School B An elementary teacher at Elementary School A requesting to transfer to teach at Elementary School B A music teacher at Middle School A requesting to transfer to teach music at Middle School B A counselor at High School A requesting to transfer to a counselor position at High School B A special education teacher at Elementary School A requesting to transfer to a special education teacher role at Elementary School B Examples of invalid transfer requests: A science teacher at High School A requesting to transfer to teach math at High School B An elementary teacher at Elementary School A requesting to transfer to teach at Middle School A A physical education teacher at Middle School A requesting to transfer to teach physical education at High School A A teacher at High School A requesting to transfer to a counselor position at High School A A special education teacher at Elementary School A requesting to transfer to a general education teacher role at Elementary School B If you are looking to move from your current role to a different role (i.e., elementary teacher to high school teacher, teacher to counselor, science to math, food service to custodian, etc.), the internal transfer window is not the correct process to follow. Instead, you would apply to the positions directly when they are posted for the 2026-27 school year. There are three request windows with blackout periods this year. During the blackout periods, staff are not able to submit a transfer request. Please be mindful of the blackout period dates and the deadlines. Dates for in-district transfers will be as follows: Teacher Transfer Windows Window 1: Jan 26th - Feb 13th Window 2: March 2nd - March 27th Window 3: April 13 - June 15 - Secondary School & SPED April 13 - July 15 - Elementary School No in-district transfers will be accepted after these dates without mutual agreement from both principals.
