Travel Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Mother & Infant / Level II Special Care Nursery (Night Shift) Travel RRT opportunity in Painesville, Ohio (44077): provide neonatal and mother-baby respiratory care on 12-hour night shifts in a Level II Special Care Nursery at an acute-care facility. Respiratory Therapist Job Details Employment Type: Travel (13-week contract) - Respiratory Therapy Location: Painesville, OH (44077) Start Date: 02/22/2026 End Date: 05/23/2026 Schedule: 12-hour nights Shift Hours: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed) Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $1,520 - $1,640 Clinical Setting: Mother & Infant / Level II Special Care Nursery (deliveries, postpartum respiratory support, neonatal respiratory care) Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Requirements Credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Preferred Background: Comfort supporting neonatal and mother-baby respiratory care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment Compliance: Ability to complete standard travel healthcare onboarding (license verification, competency testing, and required screenings) Key Responsibilities (Neonatal & Mother-Baby Respiratory Care) Provide respiratory therapy coverage for deliveries, postpartum mothers, and infants in the Level II Special Care Nursery Deliver medicated aerosol therapy, including small volume nebulizers, MDI/DPI administration, and holding chamber use Educate patients and families on aerosol and inhaled medication therapies as appropriate Perform suctioning, manual ventilation, and humidified/heated oxygen therapy Assist with intubation and provide ventilatory support (including T-piece ventilation and assisted ventilation) Support high-risk deliveries and follow neonatal resuscitation protocols as needed Assist with surfactant administration and provide ongoing neonatal respiratory monitoring and interventions Obtain, analyze, and interpret blood gases (sampling, analysis, and reporting) Document care accurately and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care Apply now to join this Painesville, OH travel respiratory therapist assignment and make an impact in mother-baby and neonatal care.
