Job Title: Quality TechnicianJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will report directly to the Vice President of Engineering & Quality and will play a key role in ensuring product standards and productivity goals are met. This position involves working closely with various departments to communicate requests and requirements, participating in calibration and non-conforming materials processes, and maintaining quality records in alignment with ISO 9001 standards.Responsibilities Communicate requests and requirements to sales, engineering, assembly, heater bending, machining, shipping, maintenance, and other departments. Collaborate with the Quality Lead to achieve product standards and productivity goals. Participate in the calibration system and document out-of-tolerance conditions. Engage in the plant's non-conforming materials process. Inspect and verify critical components, first-pieces, and finished assemblies; complete required documentation and provide feedback to operators, engineering, and other personnel. Complete transactions in the ERP system. Ensure adherence to quality policies and procedures within the plant. Maintain quality records in accordance with ISO 9001 standards. Serve as a plant resource for test and measurement devices and techniques. Perform receiving inspections and issue Non-Conformance Reports when necessary. Conduct customer returned goods analysis and create failure analysis reports. Serve as a resource for problem resolution and issue resolution. Employ Continuous System Improvement Techniques to identify and recommend changes in inspection and production processes. Ensure rejected materials are properly accounted for in the inventory management system. Make material accept/reject decisions and disqualify test and measurement devices when necessary. Review test equipment certification and suitability for specific applications. Perform additional duties as assigned. Essential Skills Direct experience with CMM Programming (MCOSMOS preferred, PC-DMIS secondary). 3-5 years of experience as a quality technician. Proficiency in CMM, GD&T, and ISO 9001. Ability to read and interpret technical prints, drawings, and production specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Understanding of MS Office software programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access. Knowledge of MRP systems. Familiarity with quality auditing tools and techniques. Strong planning and organizational skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Well-versed in quality, measurement, and statistical methods. Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of precision manufacturing measurement tools, including hand inspection tools and Coordinate Measuring Machines. Experience in programming from scratch in MCOSMOS or PC-DMIS. Demonstrated practical application of manually inspecting parts and creating and modifying programs. Work EnvironmentThe candidate will work in an air-conditioned lab equipped with 4-5 CMM machines.
