Department This position is within FSU's Department of Enterprise Application Services Responsibilities Provide technical support and maintenance of ERP modules and identify and implement improvements and enhancements to the ERP system. Expected to analyze and resolve a variety of issues and program configurations involving multiple ERP software suites and modules. Identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives for the IT System. Developing programming specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts, configuring, customizing, diagnosing, and enhancing vendor systems software (e.g., operating systems software and utilities that manage access to peripherals, facilitate networking, manage memory allocation, manage file storage on hard drives, etc.). Creating functional and technical documentation of systems software programs and code, managing projects / processes. Specifically, the job responsibilities of the ERP Analyst III, Ap Development are: Support across the entire ERP suites (Human Resource / Financials / Campus Solutions). Examples of Modules include, but not limited to, Recruiting, ePerformance, and FACET. Responsible for reviewing business requirements needed for new design, development and maintenance of operational reports, programs, or modifications and doing technical development based on these requirements. This position will partner with functional users to accomplish this task. Responsible for initial testing to ensure the integrity of the changes to the system. Responsible for creation/maintenance of documentation pertaining to customer programs and processes. Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards. Remote work, when deemed necessary by management. Qualifications Bachelor's in Computer Science, MIS or related field. 36 months (3 years) of employment as a Software Developer or related field. Preferred Qualifications Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to convey technical information to technical and nontechnical users. Ability to document existing and new processes. Ability to interface business applications with other systems. Ability to interpret complex written specifications and conditions. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. Knowledge of appropriate programming language and development tools. Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field. Knowledge of PeopleSoft development and interfacing methodology.
