Off-Shift Quality Technician Sheboygan, WI 53082 Pay Range: $24.04 - $25.48 per hour Reports To: Quality Assurance/Lab Technician Supervisor POSITION SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented Off-Shift Quality Technician to support inspection, testing, and quality verification processes within our manufacturing facility. This role ensures that production materials and incoming products meet established quality standards through hands-on inspection, testing, and data analysis The ideal candidate is physically capable, highly detail-oriented, and comfortable collecting, documenting, and presenting inspection data. Much of the shift will involve working independently after receiving direction. Adherence to safe work practices at all times is essential KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform first-piece and hourly inspections of production materials (color, size, shape, cosmetics) and document results Inspect incoming materials and finished goods to verify quality requirements are met Conduct laboratory testing in accordance with ASTM standards and document findings Record inspection data in paper and electronic systems; prepare reports, charts, and graphs as needed Communicate quality expectations clearly with production employees Organize and safely store chemicals, equipment, samples, materials, and data Set up, maintain, and calibrate laboratory and inspection equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace Assist with cycle counts and inventory verification programs REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: Experience as a Quality Technician, Quality Control Inspector, Lab Technician, or demonstrated ability to grow into the role quickly Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately discern color Ability to use measuring tools and gauges to verify production specifications Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and database systems Ability to work independently, multitask, and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent physical condition and stamina Ability to operate (or learn to operate) floor buffers and inspection-related power tools Proactive, hands-on mindset suited for a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications: At least 3+ years of experience in a quality-related role Experience in plastics manufacturing Familiarity with flooring products, installation, maintenance, or composition Degree in Quality, Chemistry, or related field (strongly preferred) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to stand, walk, and perform inspections for extended periods. Strong physical stamina and endurance. SCHEDULE: Regular Off-Shift Hours: Sunday: 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM Monday - Thursday: 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM Includes a 30-minute unpaid lunch TRAINING: 2-3 weeks on 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM) before transitioning to off-shift schedule.
